Adblue Diesel Exhaust Fluid is a mixture of high purity synthetic urea and deionized water that is used in Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems in diesel vehicles. DEF is used to help convert NOx to harmless nitrogen and water.
Adblue (or DEF - Diesel Exhaust Fluid) , AUS32 is used for vehicles of Euro 4, 5 and 6. It contains 32.5% is urea and 67.5% is distilled water. A common mistake most people and drivers make about this material is to think that this product is an additive to car fuel, but it has a separate tank for storage in diesel vehicles to be sprayed directly into the exhaust, It is not added to or mixed with fuel.

This process is called selective catalytic reduction or SCR for short. The engine needs this solution for 3 to 5% of the total diesel consumption. The amount of Adblue (DEF) consumption varies depending on the type of diesel used, the type of diesel used and the tonnage of the car load. In general, each Euro 4 truck needs 1500 to 2500 liters of this solution per year, which varies depending on the size of the engine and the distance traveled. Euro 5 cars need more Adblue (DEF), which is about 5 to 6 percent of total diesel consumption, which is recommended by the car manufacturer and the original manufacturer of DEF.
